'97 head of poultry given by country supporters for dinner on Anzac Day 1941 when returned men of 1914-1919 War were guests of the Society as well as men of all Services in the present war. 1500 men at lunch, 1000 men at tea and 500 to supper on Anzac Day. Cake was all sent by country supporters for supper - all other food for 2500 men prepared and cooked in the Hut kitchen by voluntary helpers', from back.
