The Town Hall was built of brownstone from Quorn, decorated with Ionic columns and gables either side of the square clock tower. The pyramidal dome and cupola was 72 feet tall

View of the Young & Gordon (late Bignell & Young) shop at Port Augusta. A number of the staff are standing out the front at the edge of the verandah, some of the stock can be seen in the shop windows but the windows to the first storey are curtained. Another Young & Gordon single-storey building can be partially seen beside the main one. Information on the main building identifies the original business as 'Bignall & Young, importers, established 1867'. When Frank Bignell retired in 1881 Thomas Young went into partnership with Robert Gordon, trading as Young and Gordon where they sold drapery, millinery, dressmaking, tailoring, clothing, footware, grocery, produce, ironmongery, glassware, earthernware, wine and spirits.

PORT AUGUSTA: Shooters who were members of the winning team at a Port Augusta shooting competition. Their names are T. Rogers. R. Dennis, A.J. Roberts, W.N. Roberts, H. (?) Harden and I. Hudson. NB. The men may not be standing in that order. According to a researcher, the man at left may be William Harden, who was a member of the rifle club. William would have been in his thirties (b1887) in 1920. He won a medal in 1902 for 300 and 600 yds from the Port Augusta District Rifle Club.
